Do your part with sincerity — and leave the outcome to Allah.
THE VERSE
“Say, ‘Never will we be struck except by what Allah has decreed for us; He is our protector.’ And upon Allah let the believers rely.”
— Quran 9:51
REFLECTION
This verse teaches a balanced truth: you are responsible for your effort, and Allah is responsible for the outcome.
Qadr does not mean you stop trying. It means you move forward with intention, planning, and sincerity — while knowing that what ultimately reaches you is what Allah decreed for you.
When the result is different than what you expected, this verse pulls you back to steadiness. You’re not asked to control everything. You’re asked to do your part, and to rely on Allah with confidence.
HOW TO LIVE THE VERSE
- Focus on what you can control: your intention, your effort, and your consistency.
- After you take the necessary steps, release anxiety about results and trust Allah with what follows.
- When something doesn’t work out, remind yourself: “Allah decreed what reached me — and there is wisdom in it.”
- Keep striving, but let your heart stay calm — because Allah is your Protector.
